Troy-Bilt Storm 2410 Review
The Troy-Bilt company has been in business for over 80 years, and its main products are lawn mowers, yard tools, and snow blowers. Here we will talk about snow blowers, specifically about the two-stage snow blower that is one of the bestsellers of this company.
As previously stated, the Troy-Bilt Storm 2410 is a two-stage snow blower. To summarise, two-stage snow blowers can handle up to 16-18 inches of snow, have a plethora of different features, and are not designed for light snow; instead, they work best with dense and heavy snow.
This Troy-Bilt snow blower is well-known because it is less expensive than most two-stage snow blowers with comparable features.
208cc 4-Cycle Engine
The Storm 2410 snow blower is powered by a 208cc 4-cycle engine. The four-cycle systems are very similar to those found in automobiles. You put oil in a compartment separate from where you put gas in your car. It's extremely convenient to be able to go to the store, grab the gasoline you need, and put it in.
4-cycle engines are usually preferred over 2-cycle engines because
The crank chute control allows you to turn the chute left and right at a 180° turning radius, simply turn the crank clockwise or counter-clockwise to make the adjustments of your liking. Since the chute control system is not mechanical and you have to do it manually, you might want to use a lubricant to loosen up any stiff joints in the machine.
Even if there is no power steering feature in this model, it doesn’t really make a difference. The Storm 2410 Snow Blower is much lighter compared to an average two-stage snow blower. Turning the machine 180° in heavy snow will not cause you any trouble.
The individual handlebars also help in turning the machine around since it is a known fact that traditional handlebars are difficult to maneuver.
One drawback of this model is that it doesn’t come with a one-hand control system (where you can press down both levers and remove your left hand at any point without stopping).
Even though this Troy-Bilt snow blower is light compared to the other two-stage snowblowers, 186 pounds isn’t something you can call light either. As a result, having a self-propel system is a big help when it comes to maneuvering the machine.
This model has six forward speeds and two reverse speeds. It is nice to have two reverse speeds since most of the other snowblowers have only one reverse speed, so having two options is better and faster.
The 12-inch serrated steel auger is capable of clearing up to 16 inches of heavy snow. As the clearing width is 24 inches and the intake height is 21 inches, the discharge chute shoots the chewed-up snow around 25-30 feet up and above. Although, for wet and heavy snow it manages to throw it up to 15 feet.
This auger works a little differently than others, the big chunks of snow piles are rotated again and again until it is broken down into small pieces to easily throw it out of the chute. The dreaded snow piles a the end of your driveway will be a piece of cake for this machine.
Two extra shear pins are provided if the original ones break down, the skid shoes are polymer-based and adjustable so you can easily use this snow blower even on unpaved surfaces.
Electric start is a convenient function to have in your snow blower. When it is too cold to pull the recoil, you can just plug an outdoor extension cord into the designated slot. Check that your gas tank contains clean, fresh gasoline and that there is enough gas in it.
After you are done preparing your snow blower, just hit the red button and you are ready to go on your snow clearing adventure. Plus you will have the recoil start if you prefer that over the electric start.

Troy-Bilt Storm 2410 Accessories
The Troy-Bilt Storm 2410 Snow Blower is one of the best snow blowers out there if you are on a tight budget. It is ideal for locations with moderate snowfalls. Even though the engine isn’t built like a proper two-stage snow blower, it can still handle heavy snow with some patience. Thanks for scrolling through this Troy-Bilt Storm 2410 review. Cheers!
